Barclays have threatened to withdraw their support for
Stonewall’s annual awards unless they get rid of the category of “bigot of the
year”. It is surprising that Barclays are able to occupy this high moral ground
in the light of their history of PPI mis-selling, and the alleged Libor-rigging
and interest rate swaps debacle. Thank
heavens there is not a category for "brass neck of the year"
