Stacey, the head of Ofqual, has admitted that she applied pressure to to one of
England's biggest exam boards Edexcel to
alter its GCSE English boundaries to avoid grade inflation. This was done in order to maintain standards
in English examinations. A spokesperson for Ofqual reportedly stated “We gotta keep up gud
standards, evry year,innit!”
